I'm using a Macbook M1 and it was not necessary to install any drivers for it to work. My mic is a Boya DM500, equivalent to the Shure MV7X, both of which need a lot of gain in the Preamp. For these microphones, if you leave it at maximum gain and use a Plugin Compressor, you will get an excellent sound, as there is no signal distortion at maximum gain. But if you're going to be streaming live, it's better to add a FetHead to increase the gain on these dynamic mics. The only thing that displeased me was that the mechanics of this interface are all plastic and the on-off selector switches are of poor quality, that is, I don't recommend moving these switches all the time.
