Watercolor Blocks full of 100% cotton paper of the highest quality that has been glued on all 4 sides. The convenience of painting on a block eliminates the need for stretching, so the paper is ready to use. Simply paint directly on the block and let the paper dry before removing.

Each block contains durable acid-free, pH-neutral, and air-dried paper. Gelatin sizing to the core preserves the lustre and transparency of the colours whilst preventing paints from penetrating into the paper. It allows superposing of washes and gives it added strength to resist erasing and scratching without tearing or linting. It also allows paints to be removed, either wet or dry, easily revealing the whiteness of the paper. ARCHES Aquarelle can absorb a large amount of water with limited deformation. If stored and handled properly, it will remain vibrant for centuries without conservation.
