Using the calculations of Hans Cousto (The Cosmic Octave) to match the frequencies of sidereal day, it is tuned to produce the corresponding frequency of 194.71 Hz (G2) on an A4= 400-437.11 Hz scale. This gong is handcrafted from nickel-silver by the gong makers to respond with great sensitivity in all playing applications and its mysterious sound comes from the countless hours spent hand-working the metal.
