The excellent saxophonist David Liebman (born 1946 in Brooklyn) became famous as a world-renowned teacher of jazz and saxophone. He used his many years of interpretive and pedagogical experience in a textbook that systematically and in great detail describes the technique of playing this instrument and also explains how to think about music and find the optimal approach to its various aspects (breathing, pressure, phrasing, etc.). It focuses mainly on the elimination of bad habits and the development of natural and relaxed technology. The use of this worldwide textbook is very wide; is suitable for both beginners and advanced players, regardless of the musical style they pursue. Important information can be found here not only by saxophonists, but also by clarinetists and players of other wind instruments or singers (chapter on breathing). The book was translated by the important Czech saxophonist František Kop.
